Thomas Tuchel has chosen to retain the same Three Lions selection that secured victory against Andorra and produced a stellar performance in Belgrade last month, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the forthcoming exhibition match against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in the Baltic nation.

Despite Phil Foden pushing for a recall after regaining his top condition at his club, and Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following a surgical procedure, the head coach has opted not to including two of the nation's biggest offensive stars. The young midfielder has started only once for his club since his return.

Tuchel has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured Arsenal teammate the sidelined player. Jack Grealish has not received a recall.

The national team coach highlighted the vibrancy in the previous selection and seems intent on keeping the same atmosphere. Tino Livramento, who started at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Serbia, has dropped out due to a knock. The manager has opted against selecting a direct replacement for the Newcastle player but has included John Stones, who had to pull out last month. Tuchel has discussed the centre-back's importance for the national team and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.

No spot has been found for the midfielder, who was selected last month but pulled out due to injury and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The manager stated: “A mere three weeks after the last camp and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the consideration was why not select the same group in because they set the standard. Now it is about building routines out of it. We have regrettably a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Tino and Madueke and we bring of course Bukayo Saka in to take the place of Madueke. Jarell Quansah was a last-minute addition last time; he will stay in camp.”
